Is your child starting school in September 2027? Come and join one of our Prospective Parent tours this Autumn.
Since 2023, primary school children in state-funded schools in London receive free school meals funded by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. This is agreed on an annual basis.
We receive 3 separate budgets to fund free school meals:
FSM - Free School Meals - Government funding based on eligibility criteria about the household family income and benefit entitlement
UIFSM - Government grant for children in Reception, Years 1 and Years 2 (who are not entitled to FSM)
The Mayor of London FSM grant for children in Years 3, 4 ,5 & 6 (who are not entitled to FSM)
You may be entitled to Free School Meals (based on benefits / low income) please email the school office with your full name and national insurance number giving us permission to check whether you are entitled to claim. Please do ask the office to check as eligible children mean that we receive additional funding in school to pay for school meals and a Pupil Premium Grant which means we can support low income families with the cost of trips and provide additional resources to help your child achieve to their full potential at school
Following a recent competitive tender process we are delighted to announce that from the 1st September 2026, PS Catering will be our new school lunch provider. PS Catering is committed to providing delicious, healthy, hot lunches cooked fresh on-site using local produce.
Their menus are fully compliant with government guidelines for healthy schools, and offer a wide variety of dishes, including international flavours, family favourites, and daily options like fresh bread, salad, fruit, and yoghurt.
The new 3-week rotating menu is below. You DO NOT need to book on the Arbor app. A register will be taken by the class teacher each day to see who has brought a packed lunch from home and who wants a school lunch. Children will choose their lunch at the kitchen counter.
Our children enjoy a freshly-prepared, nutritious meal, which is healthy and balanced, to prepare them for an afternoon of learning. We also take the opportunity to develop good table manners, skills in using cutlery and recognise that lunchtime is a time to relax and develop social skills.
If your child has a medical dietary need, please complete the Special Diet Request Form attached and email to Paula Wallis Paula@pscateringmanagement.co.uk and attach official medical evidence of your child's dietary condition. Please note that PS Catering operates a nut-free kitchen, so children with nut allergies only do not need to submit this form. As this is a new provider, all families with dietary requirements must submit a new form, even if they have had a special menu previously. Once received PS Catering will work with you to develop and confirm a tailored menu ready for September.
