School Day Timings

Changes have been made to the beginning and end of the day to make drop-off and pick up more convenient and efficient for families and school.  The gates will open for all children at 8.35 and Year 1 to Year 6 will head into class via the usual entrances for an 8.40 start. Nursery parents can take their children straight to the nursery door to drop off for an 8.35 start. Reception parents can drop at the Reception gate, which will open at 8.35.   Pick up times for Year 1 to Year 6 have been adjusted so that all children leave together at 3.10.

Nursery and Reception:  Children in Nursery should be dropped and picked up directly from the Nursery play area and children in Reception from the Reception Gate. 

Please use the Harrow Close gate as a priority.  Adults bringing Nursery and Reception children to school via Ellingham Road will have to wait at the gate until Year 1 to 6 children are in the school building.

Year 1 to Year 6: Children should be dropped off at either Ellingham Road or Harrow Close gate and will walk down independently.  Senior leaders and teachers will be out to support the children into class.  At the end of the day, children in Year 1 to Year 6 can be collected from the playground at the times specified in the table.

• Both gates will open at 8.35 and 3.05 for Reception to Year 6 children.  Please do not enter before a member of the staff team opens the gates.

From Year 1 our children enter the school and go into class independently. This really helps the children settle into school, ready for learning with anxiety levels noticeably reduced.  Families are welcomed on site at pick up so that teachers can meet and have daily contact about your child.
